Blueberries, BlackBerrys and Little Green Tots

Jo Baxter set up Little Green Tots, an ethical mother-and-tot home shopping boutique, to combat the stress of the high street. With three tots herself we caught up with Jo to see how winning a BlackBerry from Orange and Enterprise Nation helped combat the stress of juggling a family and a home business.

How do you do it? we asked.

"The only way I've managed to run my house, my business and my little ones is though boring routine and the ability to juggle!" Jo said.

With her hands tied up with all that juggling, we wondered how Jo might keep her little ones away from her new BlackBerry.

"They love playing with the BlackBerry or 'blue berry', as my three year old calls it - and becomes very defensive when my one year old tries to play.

"It's got to the point where my middle one will 'check emails, mummy' on his play phone - or anything that resembles a phone!"

"I use it every day without fail, knowing I can sneak a quick peek at my email without getting my computer (or my other half) fired up!

"It gives my consultants the ability and reassurance that I can be reached, whenever they need me, via phone or email. And it's given me the confidence to rely more on technology and use it to the best of its ability."

And how does your new BlackBerry help you combat some of the stress involved in running a successful home business and a family?

"I've found my BlackBerry fantastic and won't be without it now! It means I can be at playgroup and know exactly which emails need replying to when I get home. I can plan my day more easily and not be met with a barrage of missed information as soon as I walk through the door, which gives me extra time to spend with the little ones!"

Comment: I can certainly relate to what you say about it giving you more time - and I expected it to be the other way around until I got mine. Being able to handle enquiries and process sales without actually having to go into the office is unbeatable.
