Homeworking is great. We know that! But sometimes you've just got to get out of the home office. For when you feel that way, the Consultant Journal offers nine tips on dealing with home-office isolation.
Here are a few:
- Go for a walk. Get out every day.
- Create some routines. Buy a latte every morning at the nearest coffee shop. Go out for lunch. Take a lunchtime yoga class. Go for a jog. Incorporate some of the structure you'd have in an office setting.
- Work from the library. Take your laptop and grab a desk.
Of course, I'd add to that list by saying visit our Community channel when the isolation kicks in! What would you add? How do you cope with being cooped up? Share your ideas in the comments below. – San Sharma

Comment: My trick has been to abandon the supermarket. By keeping stocks of food low, I am forced to go out daily and buy from a selection of local shops. It's turning out to be a win-win. I get some human interaction, throw less wasted food away, am getting to know some of the friendly shop owners, get a bit of exercise and support local business. No more weekly shops and I even find that I am spending less by buying from local shops.
