Who has ever sat in their home office and thought “Oh, I’d love for someone to deliver a fresh cup of coffee, right now, right to my door..”  Well, we wonder if the time might be approaching when your wishes come true and mobile coffee carts populate our homeworking streets.

Coffee swirls

Here at Enterprise Nation, we’re big fans of trendwatching.com. Their design is sleek and their projections usually spot-on. So imagine our joy when the caffeine-loving EN team read this little snippet:

“Mobile coffee carts have been around for a while, but whereas most such carts are motorized, UK-based Bikecaffe has come up with a pedal-powered and eco-friendly alternative. Using heavy-duty cargo tricycles, Bikecaffe travels emission-free as it serves up a range of coffee blends from roasters Segafredo Zanetti and Integrity Fair Trade.

Added benefit: Bikecaffe trikes can access pedestrian areas that their motorized competitors can't reach, making them ideal providers for pedestrian malls, historic venues, outdoor events, concerts and parties. The current rollout focuses on franchises in Liverpool, London, and Brighton, with one in Dublin as well as more local sites in and around Warwickshire where Bikecaffe operates its own stores.”

We wrote to the company at motorised speed to suggest they deploy their espresso-fuelled bikes to our homeworking streets. Look out for a Bikecaffe turning a corner near you.
