The making of a white paper

For those of you following me on Twitter, you may recall me getting all in a fluster in October as I attended an event to meet the worldwide boss of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer. You can see the write-up from the event here and now, you can also download a white paper written on the back of the event by hosts, Influencer50.

The Technology-Enabled Small Business

The white paper, commissioned by Microsoft, looks at:

  • The importance of small business
  • Technology-enabled small business
  • The barriers to technology adoption
  • The role of small business community leaders

It’s only 10 pages , makes some interesting points and is well worth a read.

This is one thing that’s said about home based business:

“The rapid growth of the SOHO sector – small office, home office – is testament to the ease not only of setting a business up, but also of reaching a much larger market than traditionally achievable.”

Very true.

Thanks to Microsoft and Influencer50 for inviting us to be involved. And giving me the opportunity to meet Steve Ballmer. But let’s not go in to that all over again :-)
