For more than 20 years, the Company I founded worked with 67% of the top 100 brands and retailers in UK. And across a further 26 Countries. Clients have included: Lindt &amp; Sprungli, Unilever, Imperial Tobacco, Anheuser Busch, The Post Office, Asda, Tesco, and Pladis Global.

My unique understanding of behavioural science, consumer psychology and shopper behaviour has empowered world famous businesses to grow share by creating more positive and engaging customer experiences.

After 20 years setting up and runnnig my business, I successfully sold it in September 2019 and now concentrate on helping others reach and surpass their own business aims and objectives.

My name is Lisa, and I am the founder and CEO of Telios Tutors, a leading provider of 1-to-1 online tuition. I started my business from scratch over a decade ago, with no loan or investment, that now turns over multiple six figures a year. The ethical values and principles I live by have been integrated in the treatment of people in the organisation which I believe has been a huge contributor to its growth and impact. Having integrity, humility and warmth when interacting with others has largely contributed to the longevity and sustainability in loyalty of people within the organisation, from clients to staff. I have honed my skills in various domains including high-ticket sales, the psychology of sales, leadership, people management, and entrepreneurship. My journey in business is marked by a passion for helping others achieve their potential and a commitment to innovation and excellence.

My journey into the world of business began with a deep interest in understanding how successful enterprises operate. After completing my formal education, I embarked on my career with a focus on sales and entrepreneurship. My early roles involved a mix of direct sales, business development, and strategic planning, where I quickly learned the ropes of high-pressure selling environments and the importance of building strong client relationships. I believe in the currency of human connection which has largely contributed to the longevity of maintaining client and staff retention.


Over the years, I have specialised in high-ticket sales, mastering the art of closing deals that significantly impact the bottom line. My approach to sales is deeply rooted in understanding the psychology of the buyer. By tapping into the motivations and needs of clients, I have been able to consistently achieve and exceed sales targets. My notable achievements in this area include closing (high ticketed/high priced) offers, without the use of typical sales strategies, but rather building rapport and relationships through the art of communication.


Leadership is about inspiring and guiding others towards a common goal. My leadership philosophy centres around empathy, clear communication, and fostering a collaborative environment. I have successfully led diverse teams, focusing on each member’s strengths and promoting continuous learning and development. Rather than micro-managing people, I believe in developing people through authentic edification. My leadership style focuses on the service of people through understanding their core needs and motives.

As the sole founder and CEO of Telios Tutors, I have navigated the processes of starting and scaling a business in the education sector without any external loan or investment. The business model is an online agency, and the skills I have utilised over the years can be adaptable and transferrable across a wide range of industries. Telios Tutors is one of the leading providers of 1 to 1 private education and has been positively reviewed by The Good School&apos;s Guide.

Marketing has played a pivotal role in our growth. By leveraging a mix of traditional and digital marketing strategies, we have been able to reach and engage a wide audience. Effective communication is key, not just in marketing but across all aspects of the business. From client interactions to team meetings, clear and compelling communication ensures that everyone is aligned and motivated. Developing affiliate partnerships has also been a significant part of our strategy, allowing us to expand our reach and impact.

Under my leadership, Telios Tutors has achieved numerous milestones. We have provided employment opportunities to hundreds of tutors and transformed the lives of thousands of students. Our approach to education goes beyond academics; we focus on personal development, helping students build confidence and life skills.

Looking ahead, my vision for Telios Tutors is to continue expanding our reach and impact. We aim to leverage technology to enhance our services and make personalized education accessible to more students.
