Tracy Sheldon is currently the Gateway Start-up Manager for Kirklees Council working with West Yorkshire Start-up programme led by WYCA and the LEP. Tracy worked as Hull CC start -up programme manager and wrote the strategy for micro business development for HullCC.
Formerly Managing Director of Brug Consultancy and Op’s Director at Volans UK; she was GM and Marketing Director Europe for AGI Media Europe, part of MWV (MeadWestvaco Corporation a complete mix of sectors and industries. The company had market-leading positions in its businesses and operated in more than 30 countries.
Tracy was originally a graphic designer moving from print through to design and product development. Her career has spanned conceptual design, advertising, product innovation and development, managing global ranges for companies like Gillette , Sony, Disney and Unilever, and working closely with wines and spirits development on brands such as the Smirnoff Black initial launch.
As the GM for AGI Media Creative (AGI Solutions) based in London, servicing the entertainment industry with design, artwork and repro – she managed a £41 million creative turnover business, a team of 17 Directors and 500 plus staff. After a successful company turnaround, She moved to the new role of Marketing Director Europe; She set up her own micro business BRUG to focus on her own projects and development. Tracy has worked across many markets, building and driving strategic change to ensure growth, innovation, development and success. Tracy also owned a retail business for 5 years while also working globally.
Tracy’ commitment to the charity sector has seen her involvement in the following areas or boards;
Unity Works, The Lorna Young Foundation, Womencentre, KTT, KACCL, Evoke while also working with BCD, KYEC, Young Enterprise and School Speakers specialising in young people development and education.
Tracy has managed start-ups, company turnarounds, developmental change, strategic mergers and built teams in design, localisation, print, sales and marketing. She has 40 years plus experience in business, working in areas from a brand and product innovation, marketing, mentoring and coaching through to strategic change management and believes that people are always at the forefront of any organisation. There is never an end to learning and developing for the future – which makes for an interesting and exciting time.
