Google has released the top UK search terms related to Easter products and activities which could be useful for relevant small businesses looking to do some last minute seasonal marketing.

According to the search company, the top five trending "ideas" searches over the past seven days (as of 15 April 2025) are all for Easter meal ideas, including "easter lunch ideas" (+170%), "easter buffet ideas" (+140%) and "easter dessert ideas" (+90%)

Google said "farms near me" is at a 12-month high, with 'egg hunt' a top related search. "easter egg hunt clues for teens" reached an all-time high last Easter, and it tripled in search over the past week alone.

"free from" search interest is currently at a 2025 high in the food and drink category. Over the past several days, users in Scotland and Northern Ireland have been searching more for "gluten free easter eggs", while England and Wales users have been searching more for "vegan easter eggs".

Google said 2024 was the first year that "dark chocolate easter egg" overtook "white chocolate easter egg" in search interest. Dark chocolate is currently being searched twice as much as white chocolate easter eggs

"easter gifts for adults" is a breakout search over the past seven days. Top trending related searches include "easter candles", "easter socks" and "easter plants".

Driven by the big interest for Dubai chocolate on social media, "morrisons dubai easter egg" is the top trending Easter egg in the UK, with "dubai chocolate" and "pistachio chocolate" currently being searched more than ever.

"Breakout" searches are those with a search interest increase of more than 5,000%. In some cases it's because the queries are new and had few (if any) prior searches.
