easyJet founder launches young entrepreneur competition with £300,000 in cash prizes

Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou, the creator of the easy group of brands which includes airline easyJet, is offering young entrepreneurs the chance to win cash prizes totalling £300,000.
Running for the second year, the Stelios Awards for Young Entrepreneurs is for business owners aged under 34 running a business registered with Companies House in the last five years that has at least £200,000 in annual revenue. They also need to own at least 50% of the company's shares.
The overall winner will receive a £150,000 grant, with a second prize of £100,000 and the third placed founder getting £50,000.
To enter, download the application form here and submit it by 5pm on 28 March. The winners will be announced during an online event on 29 April.

"The quality of the entries and winners last year proves once again that in the UK today entrepreneurship is very much alive and kicking!
"I look forward to seeing another batch of inspiring applications again this year from that great pool of entrepreneurial talent."
The overall winner of last year's inaugural awards was Amelia Christie-Miller, a former chef who launched Bold Bean Co in 2021.
Tom Ushakov, founder of the London Pregnancy Clinic, won the second prize, while Charlotte Stavrou, an Enterprise Nation member who started influencer agency Sevensix Agency, received the third prize.
