Micro, small and medium sized enterprises are encouraged to apply for the latest round of funding from Innovate UK's innovation loans scheme.

The funding is aimed at "highly innovative late stage research and development (R&D) projects with the best potential for the future" and "a clear route to commercialisation and economic impact".

Your project needs to lead to innovative new products, processes or services that "are significantly ahead of others currently available, or propose an innovative use of existing products, processes or services". It can also involve a new or innovative business model.

Loans of between £100,000 and £2 million are available.

Applications for the current round of funding can be made here until 12pm on 7 May.

The next round opens on 8 May and closes on 2 July, followed by another that opens on 3 July and closes on 27 August.
