I&apos;m a <a href=&apos;https://danmartinuk.com/&apos; target=&apos;_self&apos;>freelance content creator and event host</a> who helps small businesses and the organisations that support them. I&apos;m also Enterprise Nation&apos;s Local Leader for Bristol.
I have 20 years of experience as a small business journalist having interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs from famous names like Sir Richard Branson and Deborah Meaden to the founders behind brand new start-ups.
I&apos;ve worked for a range of leading small business publications and support groups, most recently as head of content at Enterprise Nation where I was responsible for the prolific output of content on the company&apos;s blog and social media. I now freelance for Enterprise Nation as the website&apos;s <a href=&apos;https://www.enterprisenation.com/business-news&apos; target=&apos;_self&apos;>news reporter</a> and as the host of the <a href=&apos;https://www.enterprisenation.com/podcast&apos; target=&apos;_self&apos;>Small Business sessions podcast</a>.
I&apos;m based in Bristol where I run and host regular events with the local small business community in my role as Enterprise Nation&apos;s Local Leader for Bristol. I also have strong connections with other major business organisations in the south west region.
In total, I&apos;ve hosted over 100 events including conferences with an audience of hundreds for international brands like Xero and Facebook and live web chats from inside 10 Downing Street.

Before starting Strategic Goal Management, I spent three and a half years as a Managing Director for Clearview Communications, based in Essex. I achieved outstanding results, and the company flourished and experienced significant growth during my time there.
I was formally acknowledged for my success and was nominated as a ‘Business Leader of the Year SME’ finalist by the Ex-Forces in Business Awards.
Previously, I worked in various management and leadership roles, including as the Head of Operations for a large power company. I operated a<a href=&apos;https://www.cfmoller.com/p/Greenwich-Peninsula-Low-Carbon-Energy-Centre-i2325.html&apos; target=&apos;_self&apos;> state-of-the-art energy centre</a> in North Greenwich as part of an £87.5m project, the largest district heating network in Europe.
In my first civilian role after leaving the military, I managed operations at Bromley by Bow, the busiest delivery station in the Amazon network. During the role, I was responsible for the operational elements of the UK launch of Amazon Fresh and the turnaround of a failing operation.
As a British Army veteran with nearly 17 years of service in the Army Air Corps. This experience is where I honed and developed my coaching, leadership, and management skills. I was responsible for managing complex high-tempo operations, including Apache attack helicopter ground operations in the UK and internationally.
During my military career, I received operational service medals for deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded the Long Service and Good Conduct medal in 2015.
As a passionate advocate for ex-military veterans, I support them into civilian employment (for free) during their transition out of the military. In the last five years, I have successfully coached and mentored over thirty ex-forces personnel into senior management and leadership roles.
