Hello, I&apos;m DrVeronica Broomes, Sustainability Specialist, Business Mentor and Entrepreneur with 20+ years experience. Combining my expertise in sustainability (planet, people, planet) and Business Mentor skills, I help businesses by delivering customised training, preparing Sustainability Audit reports and Carbon Reduction Plans. Tools to get a competitive edge, reduce costs (marketing, recruitment, etc) and win more business.
In 2024, I launched the annual 1-day online Sustainability Summit for SMEs to provide a learning environment to share updates on sustainability with its various facets, case study examples of cost savings, innovation and new revenue streams. Aimed at strengthening resiliance in supply chains and to show how SMEs can demonstrate actions they are taking when bidding for tenders.&nbsp;
Drawing on my lived experiences as a scientist, researcher, project manager, environmental impact assessment practitioner, alongside entrepreneurship and academic qualifications, I help organisations with deepening understanding on the &apos;Governance&apos; aspect of ESG and how they can they can demonstrate what they have done as well as action plans to increase their performance of winning procurement contracts.
My academic qualifications include a PhD in Plant Science from the University of Sheffield, and post-graduate certificate in Environmental Impact Assessment from Wye College (now part of Imperial College) and a masters degree in law (LLM) from The Open University.
