&lt;p&gt;The product I invented over ten years ago &amp;ndash; an award winning baby product called Totseat - became part of a highly sophisticated online counterfeiting scam in 2013.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I decided to go to war with the online criminals but I couldn&amp;rsquo;t afford the services of the major brand protection agencies. With the help of linguists and armed with my extensive registered design and trademark portfolio, I communicated daily in Chinese with online marketplaces until the counterfeits were removed.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The algorithms that I developed worked in terms of identifying the issues at stake. After years of helping other brands recover from similar fates (for free), I realised the need for an affordable brand protection service. SnapDragon was born.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I started delivering SnapDragon as a manual service but as demand grew, I automated it to keep up. This innovation came in the form of Swoop, our SaaS model, which launched in 2018.&lt;/p&gt;
