Hi, I'm Sam and I help teams, leaders &amp; sellers improve their performance and productivity with impactful and relevant training, mentoring and coaching that really illuminates your potential!
My goal is to make the hard &quot;soft skills&quot; easier - I'm on a mission to bin low-impact, tick-box training!
After 13 years of professional development and 17 years in highly competitive corporate work environments as a qualified Trainer, Facilitator and Coach, I (Samantha, 49, from the Wirral but living in Cork for 25 years) felt called upon to help provide clarity for others, facilitating ‘Lightbulb Moments’ which enable people to see through a different lens. Supporting them to be better sales people, leaders or performers at work, or be happier in their lives overall, using creative training techniques to really tap into people’s potential in a way that really connects. In setting up my people development consultancy 18 months ago, I've found success in helping teams and individuals make the most difficult “soft skills” and sales skills much easier.
Having been on the receiving end of unsupportive, indeed toxic leadership in the past, one of my program offerings is around Impactful Human Leadership - helping up and coming and first line managers to be the leader they needed earlier in their career.
I've faced challenges as a woman in tech and have lived experience of being the one suffering imposter syndrome, plagued by self doubt that then affected my relationships and life, in and outside of work. This was often fuelled by limiting beliefs and the opinions of others, combined with years of wearing a mask to project myself as super confident and in control, while secretly this was eating myself up inside.
Resilience has played a huge part in keeping my business alive as just 8 months after launching my own consultancy, I found myself in hospital needing critical reconstructive surgery on a broken femur. In a cruel twist of fate, I had broken the same leg that was injured in an accident two years ago and as a result, my most recent surgery was more complex and came with complications and delays. The outcome meant a lengthy stay in hospital and once home, was bed bound for almost 4 months. Not to be deterred by this setback, I leveraged my growth mindset, used coaching tools to focus on the power of possible, and bounced back by flipping in-person classes and coaching into the virtual world.
My business has made a comeback where I'm now securing new clients, while retaining existing relationships that are flourishing not just online - but in person too!
My focus and attention is on helping to create thriving working cultures through strong team dynamics, be that in huge global corporations or in startups.
Growth mindset and resilience work are often a key component in my programs - where I help learners focus on their mindset, in addition to the skillsets and tools required to be successful.
