I am Karen Dolan, the owner at Karen HRM, with the sole focus of helping business leaders protect, develop and grow their business. Business leaders would describe me as someone who is able to build trust and credibility quickly along with always being friendly and good-humoured.
Experienced HR Director – People Specialist
I have more than 25 years’ experience in Human Resources working in a variety of companies; software, hardware, manufacturing, but mainly technology. These roles have covered senior HR positions within many of the market leading organisations in this sector. I have also managed both local and international teams.
Pragmatic Approach
My approach centres on listening to the issues, discussing possible options and ways forward, and then working with the business to deliver the most appropriate outsourced HR solutions against an agreed plan of action. I provide a safe space for MDs, Directors and CEOs to talk about their people issues. Working with me, you will feel supported and listened to.
I am a proud Chartered Member of the CIPD. I mentor early career HR professionals on a pro bono basis. I also enjoy volunteering for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham.
I have a post-graduate diploma in People Management and am part of an alumni network that funds disadvantaged students every year. And in my spare time, I love live music and spending time walking with my dog Peppa.
