Originally from Scotland, I now live in a rural village on the edge of Dartmoor and close to the border with Cornwall. After the Scottish Highlands, I have the best of the ‘blue green’ landscape on my doorstep. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to strengthen my lifelong love of nature – which enables me to live a life I love. I am a Coach-Practitioner and Founder of ‘Finding True North’ – ‘when the world’s compass is broken’ – created during lockdown in 2020 as I saw a growing need to provide support that was more holistic than currently available. With a career of 30+ years in a range of business sectors, I have led change with and through people and know first-hand the stresses and strains of a high-octane corporate life. One of many hard lessons I have learned is that putting yourself first is far from selfish – it is absolutely essential. I prepare clients to futureproof themselves – mind, body, and soul – for uncertain times and fear of the unknown within an ever-changing world, in order to find a balance that works for them and brings purpose back into their lives. That balance is often found in nature and I teach individuals, business owners, and organisations to see with fresh eyes.

I have 18 years of experience as a small business journalist having interviewed hundreds of entrepreneurs from billionaires like Sir Richard Branson to the founders behind brand new start-ups. I've worked for a range of leading small business publications and support groups, most recently as head of content at Enterprise Nation where I was responsible for the prolific output of content on the company's blog and social media. I'm based in Bristol where I run and host regular events with the local small business community and have strong connections to major business organisations in the south west region. In total, I've hosted over 50 events; from intimate meet-ups to conferences with an audience of hundreds including events for international brands like Facebook and Xero. I'm also a big fan of podcasts having hosted Enterprise Nation's Small Business Sessions as well as lots of online events including Facebook Live interviews, webinars and three live web chats from inside 10 Downing Street. With my partner, I co-run Lifestyle District, a lifestyle blog focused on culture, art, theatre and photography.&lt;/p&gt;

I've been living in a world of strategic creativity for over 23 years (so far) and have worked both client-side and agency-side, as well as operated a successful agency myself, which means over the last couple of decades, I have been at the table having strategic conversations with 1000's of businesses and leaders, helping them apply creativity so they might grow themselves and their organisations.

Today the 'day job' is heading up the UK chapter of The Spill Teem®, a global
Design Consultancy who work with organizations worldwide to help shift their thinking culture.

The Spill Teem® have an extensive background in service, product, communication and behavioural design and collectively carry 30+ years of human-centred Design experience, business strategy, and cultural change work.

My work also regularly involves delivering keynotes at events, speaking to teams, at leadership groups, masterminds and retreats. I also deliver lectures, seminars and provide training when required on the topic of brand, strategy, storytelling and human-centred design.
